A bit about me…

I’m married and have a teenage son.  My husband has been my rock, my inspiration and the love of my life.  After 27 years, I still find him as fascinating as the day we met. We have been blessed with a son that fills our home with wonder and excitement.  We have a Portuguese Water Dog that keep us all on our toes!

I have been sewing most of my life and quilting for several years.  My husband, my son and our friends enjoy the fruits of my labour.  I’m not a ‘rule follower’, I create what my gut tells me to. I’ve cut before measuring, ripped stitches that were actually meant to be there, basically thumbed my nose at the “quilt police”.  I may not be the best quilter but I quilt for love, pure and simple.

I was a massage therapist for 25 years and needed to find a new career that was a little gentler on my body.  I had been bugging my husband about buying a brick and mortar store for several years.  The timing and location just never seemed to feel right.  I kind of “woke up” to the idea of an online store one day, so I opened my little shop called Fabric Please!  Eventually, I may need to bring in others to help, but for now, the control freak in me is loving every bit of running it on my own!

Here you will see my posts about my quilting and life adventures and sometimes the antics of my dog.  I post store happenings in my newsletter.  Thanks for visiting!

Hi I live in Bright just over from Plattsville. How odd to meet over the internet.

  2. Love it! I have a friend I made on the blog that lives in Listowel! Small world after all! Do you machine or hand quilt?

I love reading your comments and I try to respond to each of them. Please let me know what you think!
